Who is this program geared toward?
This program is designed for anyone between the ages of 6 and 12 years old. We have created opportunities for people of all abilities to join in, get some exercise and either learn some new skills or practice skills that they already know.
When do classes happen?
A new class is dropped every Wednesday for 8 consecutive weeks. The great part about this program is you can turn it on and take the class anytime that works for you. Check your email each week to be informed of upcoming chapters and Zoom Drop-Ins.
What if I can’t do a particular exercise?
We will be demonstrating different ways that each exercise can be done. There may be an exercise that does not work for your body - that's ok! Everybody is different and exercises that work for one person, may not work for another. Don’t be afraid to pause the class, take a deep breath and reset. Adapt each exercise to the needs that work best for you.
Where can I go for help/questions?
During weeks 3, 5, 7, and 9, we will be hosting live ZOOM chats with Coach Steve. Coach Steve’s extensive background coaching Wheelchair Basketball provides him with a wide range of knowledge and background to guide, direct and encourage all participants throughout the program. He also will be there to provide support in adapting exercises to the specific needs of each participant.
I don’t have the equipment on screen?
Check your mailbox! Variety Ontario will be shipping you all the equipment that you will need to be part of this program.
I didn’t receive my equipment for this program?
If your equipment has yet to arrive please contact Katie Watkins firstname.lastname@example.org, who will be able to provide more details as to when your package will be arriving.
Do I have to do every class?
The only class that is mandatory to complete, is Chapter 1. This chapter has all the instructions, safety tips, and contact information you need to get started. After you’ve completed that, do what feels comfortable to you and workout at your own pace! This experience should be fun and enjoyable. We want each participant to finish this program ready for another challenge. Please provide Coach Steve your feedback on how you are feeling about that program.
